Hi, I'm Meta

I am from Nicaragua, I studied psychology and I am committed to helping women and men in the discovery of their authentic Self through connecting with their body, emotions, intuition, understanding where we come from and what our role is in our most important relationships.

My work focuses on promoting skills that help us improve our awareness, acceptance, compassion and the skills with which you can achieve a wholehearted life.

You can schedule a free 30-minute call and see if you feel comfortable working with me.

I graduated in psychology from Mexico National University, where I also did a year of internship with the Mental Health team at the CMSXXI Pediatric Hospital.  Since 2015 I began to support different people on their own growing path and self-affirmation. For this, I took a basic training in Systemic Family Therapy with EDUVIC in Barcelona. I finished training as a specialist in psychotherapy with the Central American University, UCA of Nicaragua.

I studied Family Constellations for one year. I took the basic IFS (Internal Family System) course. I studied a Diploma in Clinical Evaluation and Intervention with ISEP and the Master in Clinical Sexuality and Couples Therapy, also with ISEP. I studied the short online course in Compassionate Inquiry: A psychotherapeutic approach developed by Dr. Gabor Maté. I finished the Year Long Professional Training in Compassionate Inquiry.

In addition to academic training, I have been working on my own personal growth for many years, healing my childhood wounds and getting to know myself deeply. I am convinced that the consistent practice of meditation is a path to move through life in an increasingly conscious way.

I worked for several years on gender equality issues (I identify as a feminist) specifically in gender mainstreaming in organizations (Local Development Fund FDL, ASOMIF & MIFIC, among other institutions), as well as researching and the systematization of processes in the area of gender and microenterprise for UNWOMEN mainly. Along the way I have developed and facilitated training processes, initially on gender equity issues and recently on self-esteem.

I led two different teams that developed two training methodologies:

For Plan International in 2015: Sexual education for Mothers, Fathers or Guardians of SRH promoters, with emphasis on non-violent communication.

With the CSJ of Nicaragua: Preparation of the manual for approaching adolescents in social conflict on creative, systemic and life skills methodologies, aimed at OEVSPA'S and interdisciplinary teams of the district criminal courts for adolescents in Nicaragua.

My experience

Workplace and academic education.
